Hi! We are Laura and Brian!
We are bloggers and vloggers sharing our travel experiences throughout the United States.
Both Brian and I were born and raised in Texas, but we were still raised about 7 hours from each other. Texas is a big state! Brian grew up in a small town near Amarillo, TX while I grew up in a small town near Waco, TX.
In 2015, I moved to Amarillo to attend pharmacy school, I met Brian, and the rest is history.
From the moment we met, we have been traveling every chance we got.
Brian and I both fell in love with traveling (and each other!) instantly. Whether it's walking through the rain forests of Costa Rica, eating fresh sushi in Japan, relaxing on the beaches of Aruba, watching a Broadway show in New York, soaking in a hot spring in New Mexico, or hiking through the state park right next to our house, we are all about it.
Isn't there just something so freeing about being out on the open road, eating beef jerky and chips, seeing new sights, and singing folk songs out loud in the car? It's good for the soul. We are constantly chasing that high that traveling brings us.

We are hoping for the day that we can travel full-time.
Unfortunately, that day is not today. Because you know real-life stuff like student loans keep us working. Brian currently is working a tech job from home while I run all of our websites.
We have visited several countries and traveled many times within the United States. All of our trips include us doing a lot of research beforehand to ensure that our vacations are fantastic. I also have been filming and photographing all of our trips since the very beginning so no trip goes unforgotten.
Now we both love international travel, but that's not what this blog is about.
This blog is all about our journey in checking off our bucket list item of seeing all 50 states of America before we turn 50 years old. We decided it would be best if we started from scratch so in October 2022 (both of us at the age of 30), we set off to our "first" state, Indiana!
As we are both indecisive people, our next state is chosen by drawing it out of a glass pitcher. This keeps it fun because we never know what is coming up next for us! As for what qualifies as a completed state, we are kind of picky. You can read about it all on our 50 States Bucket List blog post.

We've always wanted to see all fifty states as we are confident that all fifty states have something great to offer.
As with all of our travels, we also put a lot of research and time into each state before we visit in order to give them all a fair chance. Each state gets a detailed itinerary that we share with all of you so that you can also have a great trip (without having to do all the research beforehand).
During our travels, we tend to lean more towards nature, seeking out delicious food, learning about the history of the state, and experiencing local festivals with a small-town feel. With that said, in each state you will find us at the most popular diners and restaurants devouring the state food, hiking through a state park, enjoying a drink on a patio in the city, taking pictures of the capitol building, walking through the state museums, and doing everything we can to capture the state's culture.
We are so excited to be at the beginning of this journey and to get to share it all with the world.
As seasoned travelers, we promise to provide the best recommendations and honest reviews for each state. We will share the good, the bad, and the ugly! And if you promise not to get too upset, we will rank all the states based on our personal experiences.
It's going to be a lot of fun and a long journey! Our goal with this blog is to provide helpful information so that you can also have great trips to all the 50 states. We hope that our travels encourage and inspire you to travel across the United States as there is a lot of beauty to see!

Bon Voyage!
